Cyber security for industrial control system focus. Manage several multimillion dollar cyber security programs for external customers. Includes industrial process facility cyber security, commercial buildings cyber security and others.

Currently involved in smart grid activities and petrochemical safety and cyber security programs. Currently the Program Manager for the Department of Energy sponsored Role Based Access Control Least Privileged Architecture for Control Systems program. Prior to that, responsibilities included program managing the research portion of the Abnormal Situation Management Consortium (www.asmconsortium.com). Also have technical roles on Condition Based Maintenance program, and Energy related activities. Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Managed a suite of tools for energy efficiency in homes. The suite included tools to remotely monitor and control buildings using the internet, real time pricing control, energy user monitoring, thermal energy storage, compressed air management, district heating, and analysis tools to benchmark buildings against other like buildings.

Manager and principal investigator on several energy related R&D programs including mechanisms to use UCA to transmit real time pricing rates to customers, modeling engines to model electric utility rate structures, energy user modeling tools that included mutliple types of models from multiple linear regression to 4-point change point models, and models that allow what if for equipment retrofits and actual energy charges. Other tools included applications to act as an open standard gateway to buildings to allow utilities to send rates or shed commands and get immediate feedback on how the building responded. It also allowed for service providers to have access to the data (securely and privately). It allowed for automated real time response to rates within the building via preconfigured rate sensitivity tools and precooling/preheating and thermal storage.

Worked as a cooperative intern in the Electric Maintenance and Protection deparment. Performed fault studies, modeled the power system in CAPE, created grounding manuals, administered Apollo workstations.
