As the DIrector of Coding Operations, I led the strategic planning and execution of coding policy for the health plan including claim-editing initiatives and provider coding appeal auditing across all lines of business resulting in accurate and regulatory compliant claims payment with substantial savings to the payment integrity program. I’m recognized as a decisive and detail-oriented leader who empowers, develops, and motivates teams while promoting the company’s core mission, vision, and values.Prior to joining Dean Health Plan in 2010, I was a Coding Consultant at Humana and a Coding Specialist/Business Analyst at Physicians Plus Insurance Corporation. My coding knowledge helped to facilitate payment integrity efforts, improve operations and increase customer satisfaction.
