I'm the executive vice president and chief people officer for Walmart U.S., supporting more than 1.5 million associates. I oversee strategy and execution of HR programs for U.S. store and Supply Chain associates, and all Home Office associates, including health & wellness, merchandising, and e-commerce. In my role, I lead initiatives to leverage new ways of working, build programs to develop a more diverse and inclusive workplace, and drive strategies to support the physical, emotional, and financial well-being of associates.Prior to my current responsibilities, I served as executive vice president of Neighborhood Markets for Walmart U.S., where I oversaw all aspects of Neighborhood Market operations and led the reinvention of the Neighborhood Market format.I began my Walmart career in 1985 as an hourly management trainee in Anna, Ill. I worked my way from hourly associate to salaried manager and eventually executive vice president for Walmart U.S. West — a $130 billion business. Along the way, I saw Walmart change countless lives for the better through unparalleled access to opportunity. My passion is ensuring today’s associates are empowered to build a future at Walmart.I hold a degree in marketing and management from Missouri State University. I also serve on the board of directors for the Walmart Foundation and am a member of Walmart’s Women’s Officer Caucus.
