Social Innovation Academy (SIA) is a national initiative that trains fellows in understanding the social impact space. SIA Fellows participate in training programs and work with social enterprises, non-profits, impact investors and other social purpose organizations to execute various social/environmental projects that deal with the most pressing issues of our time. WE REPRESENT (Toronto)• Audited and redrafted WE REPRESENT's Chapter Guidebook using an anti-oppression and trauma-informed lens to address and minimize barriers for marginalized peoples, especially people of colour, LGBTQ2S+, and people with disabilities.• Designed workshops and information pamphlets for WE REPRESENT's outreach program that followed brand guidelines.MUGSHARE (Vancouver+)• Conducted market research for Toronto, Victoria, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver as part of Mugshare's expansion strategy.• Devised roll-out strategy for specified cities based on neighbourhood density, projected adoption rates, and overall accessibility.

✨Expresso AI was founded out of UBC's New Venture Design Cohort 2018/2019✨Expresso AI is a machine-learning driven camera that captures facial expressions of customers to gauge the success of visual merchandising displays. The goal of this project was to empower retailers with accurate real-time data on their visual merchandising as current measures of success rely solely on sales data. • Worked with team of 3 engineers and 1 other business student to create a full business plan, pitch, and technical report. • Conducted customer interviews with over 20 retailers to validate hypothesis.• Created customer personas based on market research and built a go-to-market strategy spanning over three years to meet target segment's needs.• Designed pitch presentation for potential investors.
