As an Enterprise Design Thinking (EDT) Facilitator for the IBM Global Markets, IBM Global Technology Services Canada and the IBM Emerging Technologies organizations, Julie became a trusted advisor for Global and Canadian Client Accounts on honing strategic problems and widening the aperture to innovative directions that addressed client business needs and resulted in new opportunities. In so doing, Julie helped scale the education, the coaching and the adoption of EDT to a number of global client account teams, reaching over 3,000 IBMers; hence, transforming the way IBM innovates with its clients. She also contributed to the Canadian Design Leadership EDT Chapter, the North American Technology Sellers EDT Chapter, and the Global EDT Chapter Leads’ efforts.

As Creative Program Director, Design Team Lead, Design Thinking Coach and Designer: - Julie co-defined and co-led the strategic, innovative approach for the dynamic design and assembly of relevant and immersive client experiences for a global client sales opportunity workflow solution, in collaboration with the Business and Development Leads and the global stakeholder Client Center Leads. Coaching and applying IBM Design Thinking and Agile methodologies to the project team and stakeholders, Julie and her team delivered an optimal client engagement platform, for the target audience to create winning industry client sales engagements in co-creation with their clients.- She collaborated with the Business and Development Leads on the project roadmap, content architecture for contextual clarity, and the right technology to support the optimal user journey, delivering several iterations of a minimal viable solution with a delightful client experience.- Julie hired, onboarded, managed, mentored and led the project’s cross-continent Design team, while defining, designing and delivering on the success and efficiencies of the design process, the user research, the design language system, the sprint design plans and minimal viable product milestones, and the overall user experience of the application.

Julie co-championed the first IBM Design System ‘One UI,’ both the design and implementation of the Patterns and One UI Toolkit for company wide use; and received an ‘Outstanding Technical Achievement Award for IBM One UI’ for the efforts.Julie led the creative direction for all IBM software portfolios, specifically brand identity; the user experience of products on desktop, web and mobile platforms; interaction and animation patterns; and information graphics and iconography; all design components packaged as the IBM Design Language.
