About Julie Simms

I am joint lead of the National Public Sector Real Estate Team and have over 20 years’ experience covering a full range of real estate work - specialising in regeneration, development and infrastructure.I advise on major regeneration projects and property development (both commercial and residential) for both public and private sector clients negotiating development agreements, forward funding agreements, income strip deals, collaboration agreements, exclusivity agreements, site assembly or disposal and lettings, grant funding agreements with associated real estate due diligence and ancillary property documents. I take a practical and pragmatic approach to advising on real estate project matters.I work closely with Council in-house legal teams and directly with clients at Local Authorities to support the delivery of various regeneration projects. These have included large infrastructure projects located around the country, delivery of the largest strategic housing site in the North West and various income strip deals with institutional pension funds. I was delighted to win the Insider NW Young Lawyer of the Year 2014. I was commended for my central place in the Liverpool market and a pivotal role I played for the International Festival for Business.
