After nearly 30 years of domestic and international Human Resources experience including serving as Southwest Airlines’ Chief People Officer, Julie Weber provides leadership and strategic human resources consulting services and serves as a keynote speaker and guest lecturer in addition to running her own dream business as a jewelry designer.Prior to her retirement from Southwest Airlines in April 2024, Julie Weber served as an Executive Advisor at Southwest Airlines supporting the Executive Chairman of the Board, President and CEO and the Chief Administration Officer. Her areas of focus were executive compensation, board succession planning, employee relations, employment policy, organizational effectiveness, and overall human resource practice transformation.Prior to her advisor role, Julie served as Vice President and Chief People Officer for Southwest Airlines from 2018-2022 and Vice President People from 2012-2018 where she led all aspects of Human Resources. Her broad responsibilities included hiring the right People at the right time with the right attitude, providing Employees with equal opportunity for learning and personal growth, providing competitive and attractive benefits packages, and assuring quality and depth of Leadership throughout the Company. Since joining Southwest Airlines in 2006, Julie served in various leadership roles including Director of Employment, Senior Director of People, Vice President of People and Vice President and Chief People Officer. Prior to joining Southwest Airlines, Julie worked at MetaSolv Software (now an Oracle Company) as a Recruiter in 1996 and served as Vice President of Human Resources from 2000-2006. Julie currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the University of Dallas, the Colorado State University College of Business Global Leadership Council and the University of Texas at Dallas Human Resources Management Program Advisory Board. In addition, Julie serves on the Advisory Board of RemotelyMe, veteran owned business that uses visual neuroscience and cognitive AI to solve the world's #1 workplace problem related to trust. Previously, Julie has served on the Advisory Boards for Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County and Community Credit Union.
