As Director of Finance for GBI Operations & Procuremnt , I have full accountability for managing all costs and value creation across Supply Chain, consisting of 6 manufacturing sites and the total logistics network as well as business partnering the Procurement team. As a key member of both the Finance Exec and Supply Chain Exec, and working alongside other functions in the business to provide insight and awareness of total Supply Chain costs, In addition, I play a pivotal role in ensuring our strategic initiatives are delivered. Key business partners are GB&I Operations Director, Chief Procurement Officer and GB&I Finance Director.Managing, coaching and developing a team of 6 as well as leading the Leadership & capability agenda on behalf of GBI Finance.

Samworth Brothers Distribution is an autonomous business unit operating within Samworth Brothers Limited Group. With a turnover of c.£50m, the business operates a national network of owned fleet. From 3 sites it provides a warehousing and distribution service to the 12 group manufacturing sites, as well as an increasing number of external customers.Major Achievements• Successfully led the business through a major change programme, including extensive network reorganisation and significant changes to drivers T&Cs • Development of 4 year plan for the business• Transformed the role of Finance from back office to Business partnering• Re-engineered the budget setting and financial forecasting process• Led significant change to performance management processes• Designed and launched a Leadership Development programme• Design and testing of new Transport Management System ready for implementation

Finance lead on a significant reconfiguration programme for the Chocolate Confectionery business in the UK and Poland, with an investment of c.£300m and value creation of c.£200m.Major Achievements• Completion of the final phase of the Business case leading to final Group approval• Supporting the employee consultation process• Setting up of reporting, controls and procedures ahead of implementation of the programme• Controlled all engineering spend, returning a saving of 10% back to the business• Work closely with all business units impacted by the project to ensure that all benefits were clearly tracked• Ensured adequate currency cover in place to minimise the impact of exchange rate fluctuations of both engineering spend and business benefits• Successfully controlled all the financial aspects of a full site closure• Recruited and developed a new finance team based in Poland

Controlling all aspects of finance for GB&I Supply Chain. Consisting of 9 manufacturing sites, and a network of third party packers and Manufacturers. With a total cost base of over £700m, GB&I Supply chain represents 50% of the total manufactured cost of the EMEA Supply Chain.Major Achievements• Leading the annual Roadmap and Contract setting process.• Input and support to the regional Operations Strategy agenda.• Finance lead on GB&I Supply Chain Board.• Working closely with Commercial to maximise product/mix profitability and optimise asset utilisation opportunities.• Input into a Global Manufacturing database.
