After obtaining my BBA from the University of PEI and then my MBA from the University of Calgary I was able to do just that. I was quickly climbing the ranks in the insurance industry and am so grateful for what I learned during this time.However, life had other plans for me and I found myself moving back home to PEI to be closer to family. It was a big adjustment from the fast paced lifestyle I had grown accustomed to and after a short time of wondering where I fit back in on the island I found myself saying yes to buying my father’s tourism company.While the business (Joey’s Deep Sea Fishing) has been around longer than me, I had never had much interest in being involved, believing my downtown corporate dreams would be my path. I’m glad to have taken this squiggly line to where I am today as many of the skills I acquired along the way have been exactly what I needed to grow our business. Simultaneously, as a commercial lobster fisher, I work with a crew to navigate the Atlantic ocean to bring sustainable and delicious seafood to tables around the world.🦞 On the High Seas:My love for the sea extends beyond tourism. As a commercial lobster fisher, I play an active role in bringing delicious Atlantic lobster to your plate.
