Thankyou for taking a look at my profile.A few of my greatest assets are an open mindset, curiosity, resilience and empathy. I never believe there is one way and I am always looking for alternative ways to improve and learn. If I do not know the answer I will do what it takes to find a solution whether that be from research, further education or others.I also believe in the power of connectiveness. There is so much we can learn from each other and everyone you meet whether they are work colleagues, clients, the person next to you in the coffee shop can change the way you think and as a consequence the way you experience your life.In regards to my work experience it has always been involved in delivering a service so connecting with others.A large part of my working life has been in the travel industry. From team management in retail to travel management in the corporate sector. It was a challenging, fast paced and target driven environment. Excellent time management, problem solving and communication skills were critical.There was never a dull moment. As a person who is people focused, enjoys a fast paced challenging environment yet likes to be independent the industry did deliver and the years flew past. The perks of working in travel including work educationals, recognition and reward bonuses and travel discounts were highly motivating and very enjoyable.Due to covid and travel being heavily affected during this time I decided it was a good time to start a new career pathway which would complement and also add to my existing skillset.Having completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology I have decided to undertake further study in community and social work to assist in this new pathway.. I feel a wiser me is ready to take on this most challenging industry and the demand is also very strong. I am currently working in the field of community services in disability as part of a customer engagement team connecting people to the resources and supports they need. I am also currently completing a Diploma in Community Services which will give me a more comprehensive understanding of the processes and procedures around service and program delivery, client management and other relevant requirements.I do know that my career will always being working directly with people in whatever capacity and delivering a service to the best of my ability with genuine care, positivity and professionalism.
