Cases include Ohio Grocers Assn. v. Levin (on appellate team that successfully defended the commercial activity tax (“CAT”) from challenge that it violated constitutional prohibition against excise taxes levied upon the sale or purchase of food); DIRECTV, Inc. v. Levin (on appellate team that successfully defended the constitutionality of Ohio’s imposition of a sales tax on satellite broadcasting services but not on cable broadcasting services); and Overstock.com v. Levin (obtained dismissal of challenge to the CAT’s nexus provisions).
