As a key member of The Lacek Group's management team, I lead Lacek's marketing innovation practice that includes the agency's strategy, data and technology teams. With a deep background building data-driven customer engagement and loyalty marketing solutions for some of the world’s leading brands, our group is responsible for turning customer engagement strategies into operational, measurable and scalable cross-channel marketing programs.These highly targeted marketing programs are a result of activating customer data and insights across channels and throughout the customer lifecycle. Some of my recent areas of focus include data enhancement, machine learning, content automation and data onboarding.

Julie leads Technology Services, working with Lacek clients to activate customer data and insights across channels and throughout the customer lifecycle. Over her Lacek tenure, Julie has worked across the agency to imagine and deliver technology-driven solutions that help clients such as Enterprise Holdings, Inc., Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Ford Motor Company, Carnival Cruise Lines and McDonald’s measure and optimize customer relationships. Examples of this include marketing technology consulting, technology vendor selection, technology integration to enable highly-relevant customer messaging across channels, and even the development of a proprietary technology solution that streamlines targeted content production for use across channels.

I manage the Digital Marketing Strategy practice in addition to the technology practices of the agency. Included in that roster have been digital marketing strategy, web development, database development, interactive project management, business analysis, quality assurance, and network and systems administration.I am able to satisfy both my right brain and left brain by working with the bright folks around me to come up with innovative, data-driven loyalty marketing ideas and solve any operational or infrastructure issues that may stand in the way. We work with our clients, partners and internal team mates to ensure we have the skills, processes and infrastructure to execute solutions both today and tomorrow.I have also had the opportunity to play an integral role in re-defining how the agency operates...twice. In both instances we sought to to change before we had to. The first effort created an integrated, channel-agnostic agency organizational structure and supporting processes. The second effort resulted in optimized data management,operations and analytics functions, tools, people and processes. We also achieved unqualified (that's good) SAS 70 Type II opinions and ISO 27002 opinions from McGladrey that reflects our exceptional commitment to providing high-level security surrounding all aspects of proprietary client data.

As our interactive area achieved critical mass, I shifted my primary focus to continuing to build and nurture the interactive capability of the agency. I led the design and development our interactive staffing model, processes and artifacts. I assembled a team of web developers, interactive project managers and digital creatives that worked together with the agency to further grow our interactive revenue and capabilities. I also helped bring database development capabilities in-house and expanded the IT team in order to meet our strategic goal of being able to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time regardless of channel.

Continued to cultivate and evolve our interactive marketing foundation and became increasingly involved in the agency's business as technology-based services became an even larger part of our overall offering. I assisted leadership in determining tactical and strategic direction of the organization as it relates to emerging operational support and technologies. I designed and implemented technology strategies and was the key agency contact for all technical projects.

At The Lacek Group, I became a key driver in leading the agency into the interactive space in addition to continuing to design and implement technology strategies.A small team designed and built interactive solutions such as an auction site for Passages (a joint venture Frequent Flyer Program between Cathay Pacific, Malaysia Airlines and Singapore Airlines), a learning application for a major theme park, and a series of online surveys for Swissotel.In addition to my duties as The Lacek Group's Manager - Information Systems, I participated in Centrobe's Technology Champions team as Knowledge Management champion. This role was fascinating to me as I was able to forge relationships with experts and vendors in what was, at the time, an emerging field that became the foundation for many of the information sharing platforms we see today. The other main highlight of my experience with EDS naturally included additional exposure to enterprise-level IT operations.
