Creative and results-driven principal in the Semmes, Bowen & Semmes Workers' Compensation and Employers' Liability practice group, representing Employers and Insurers in the defense of claims in both Maryland and the District of Columbia. Clients include Self-Insured Employers, regional businesses, and global insurance companies providing coverage for large and small Employers.Practice includes personally handling and managing team of attorneys, paralegals, and staff to litigate cases at the administrative agency level as well as on appeal in the various Circuit Courts, with extensive experience handling matters pending in the Court of Special Appeals and the Court of Appeals of Maryland. Practice also includes the litigation of cases before the D.C. administrative agencies as well as the D.C. Court of Appeals. Significant experience working with clients in development of risk management programs to facilitate employee safety and training; completing education and training to risk management and insurance professionals to help them successfully manage their claims; and working with large corporations on implementation of litigation mitigation strategies and creative approaches to litigated claims.
