As a member of the drug discovery team, I work with my colleagues to develop, identify, and optimize new anti­cancer drug candidates. I apply computational methods, such as virtual screening, homology modeling, and data mining, to rationally design new molecules to be synthesized in our lab. Additionally, I process data from biological experiments and develop new data analysis tools, producing valuable insights that accelerate our drug discovery projects. I am involved in several collaborative projects, working closely with Canadian and international researchers at universities and hospitals.

During my time as a postdoctoral researcher in the Biomodelling group, I applied computational chemistry methods to study the mechanisms governing reuptake of neurotransmitters by transport proteins in the human brain. The findings have been published in 8 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. I was responsible for the management of several research projects as well as the supervision of Ph.D. students, and I contributed to several approved grant applications. I was a teaching assistant in the course Organic chemistry for bioscience and a guest lecturer in the courses Medicinal Chemistry and Biomodelling.
