Creative Landscape Designer and Operational Division Leader with 25 years experience in the horticultural industry, design construction, staffing, training and project management. Able to adapt and comprehend multiple business models, goals and fields of expertise. My career has focused on design and client sales, operational management, construction, employee support and management, hiring, compensation negotiations and business acumen. In the horticulture focus I have successfully lead crews of 5 to 21 team members in the responsible and correct horticultural care of high-end private gardens and public spaces. Experienced in turf care, chemical application, IPM programs and have lead multiple landscape install crews as the Division Lead, as the Project Manager and as the Landscape Designer. I teach Landscape Design 1 classes at Blue Ridge Community College and am a frequent Master Gardener speaker on topics of Plant Care, Native Plants, Herbaceous and Woody ID, Container Gardens, Children Gardens and related topics. In corporate and government work I have managed contracts exceeding $30M in staffing requirements for the government and the NIH. Successfully lead teams in re-competes, new awards and recruitment efforts for fulfilling contracts.
