Small business were I sell and market my art under the labels Artist Herron and Under the Dreaming Sun
· I created signage for The Carousel Cinemas at Alamance Crossing for their combos, beer selection, and directing customers on where to purchase tickets and gift cards, and a “Showtimes” template. These signs are displayed throughout the theater and on HDTV displays. The Theater has a constant rotation of consumers averaging 10K to 12K a week based on what movies are released. While with the Cinemas I was asked to brainstorm alternate content that would bring in business during the slow period. I established Anime Night, which consistently brought in 20-to 30 regulars and our most popular night brought in almost 200 attendees. To advertise I created a brochures using InDesign and flyers using Microsoft Word, which showcased the upcoming titles to air. The flyers were regularly posted at the Cinema, local Starbucks and Game Stops. The first flyer was distributed Animazement. Animazement is North Carolina's biggest anime convention having 11,287 attend in 2014. A Facebook page was also created and ran by me to reach a larger audience before it was closed we had roughly 160 followers.· I was requested to produce artwork for the end credits of the short film “The Sentinel’s Flight” (2010) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1793290/). I took a scene from the film and recreated it in illustrator. I am listed in the production under the Art Department as and Illustrator.· Chapel Hill Implant Center contracted me to produce a T-shirt logo for a charity fun run they were participating in. I took their initial sketch and using Illustrator and Photoshop produced a polished piece.· Forest Oaks Wild Flower Honey commissioned me to create a label for their small business in 2010-2011. I took their concept, created a logo, drawing a cartoon bee, and editing in Photoshop, producing various layouts for their use and making any revisions they requested.

My days at Michael’s start at 5am normally and sometimes as early as 3 am. It takes a lot of moxie and determination to get up with only a few hours of sleep some nights between the two jobs.Once there I am responsible for stocking the store, which includes moving boxes, lifting, sorting, and scanning bar codes to put merchandise in the right location. I am also mindful to take in to account how the item is displayed and make sure to place product in a way that would be most pleasing to the customer. On truck days myself and the other replenishment crew must work together to off load a transfer truck. Our dock is outside so at times we work in rainy and cold weather or humid heat. This is a physically demanding job, but you also have to use your head to stay safe and understand Plan-a-grams sent by home office. Plan-a-grams are directions for store sections that need to be set up to corporate standards and often time are like 3D puzzles that take spatial reasoning to understand.

I started as a projectionist where my job was to load movies and start them on time and make sure they had professional presentation. I became head projectionist in 2008 where I lead the team of other projectionist, preformed maintenance, and made sure projections ran smoothly.I was then promoted to manager. My duties included supervising employees, attending to customer concerns, answering phones and contacting other businesses. I also was in charge of employee parties.I did my best to facilitate positive changes while being a manager. Bringing in ideas to help the business run smoother. Such as organizing the stock room with labels, buying professional ice buckets, implementing employee of the month, and I created Anime Night from the ground up to bring in alternate business on one of our slower business days.
