As COO of SARSEF, I provided executive leadership in strategic planning, crisis management, board stewardship, fundraising, and marketing to ensure students across the state have the opportunity to think critically and solve problems through science and engineering. I managed initiatives in and employees working with events, marketing, volunteers, and fundraising.

I managed education and outreach initiatives at TGen that increase the community's working knowledge of genomics and educate, train and inspire the next generation of researchers and physicians.

My main focus was managing the Helios Scholars at TGen summer internship program. The Helios Scholars program is a paid summer internship in which students conduct their own research project under the direction of a TGen scientist.Additionally, I represented TGen at community outreach events and career fairs to improve the public's understanding and awareness of biomedical research at TGen and in general. Within the organization, I lead tours and connect scientists with qualified student interns.

I developed a sampling strategy, provided data collection training, and conducted literature reviews for the "Obesity Stigma and Upward Mobility" research project in the Culture, Health and Environment Lab in the School of Human Evolution and Social Change.

As an undergraduate, I spent my summers working at Camp Koch, a Girl Scout resident camp in southern Indiana. I began as a day-to-day guide to campers, and then worked in camp management. My goals as an employee were to be a friendly face to participants, promote a sense of wonder for the outdoors, cultivate a sense of community, and help develop young girls' sense of independence and self-confidence.

Intensive Freshman Seminar (IFS) is a program at Indiana University that allows students to take a summer class for credit before their Freshman year. The students stay in dorms together, take a college-level course, learn about the university's culture, cultivate friendships, and prepare for college life. As IFS staff, I was a resident assistant for the program in 2004 and an intern for an Introduction to Philosophy course in 2005.
