As Secretary-General, I am responsible for facilitating regular communication and joint action among CHI's members, developing partnership initiatives, managing the communications program and sharing best practices with the overall goal of promoting cooperative housing as a viable housing solution.

My partnership outreach has proven successful in providing sponsors with national visibility and brand recognition, while making a meaningful difference in countless communities. Since 2016, over 222 housing cooperatives throughout Canada have received more than $725,000 in grants, which have funded a variety of initiatives, including community gardens, electric vehicle charging stations, toilet and LED lighting upgrades, bike storage, solar panels and many more. I am deeply grateful to CHF Canada for their unwavering support and belief in this program. Of course, the greatest reward comes from reading the final reports from the cooperatives themselves, who describe the incredible social, environmental, and economic benefits that these grants have provided to their community.

I am versatile and bilingual. I can handle multiple projects in different areas, be it project management, producing tutorial and good practices videos, social media or developing and delivering programs. I am creative and technically minded. My background in co-operative housing is quite varied which has given me experience and knowledge in all aspects of this sector. I am a good connector and promoter of co-operation and sustainability.My work with the Agency includes project managing a rent supplement reporting software, including developing a user guide and overseeing translations. I also produced the accompanying tutorial videos and wrote the scripts in both French and English. Other work includes developing a sustainability survey, analysing results and producing a report with accompanying graphics. I developed a tutorial video for the Agency's HomeRun site and two good practices videos (see links below). I have also produced numerous training presentations in Powerpoint and Prezi on topics such as marketing your co-op, and business intelligence.Sustainability is one of my passions which is why creating, developing and delivering the Greener Co-op Microgrant is a great honour. Lemonjellow Productions is an art venture that coordinates and markets art and community events as well as teach mixed-media courses.AccomplishmentsCoordinated numerous art exhibits each featuring ten artists. Succeeded in getting high attendance for each event through social media, radio and newspapers. Provided art installations for Nuit Blanche and Chinatown Remixed.

I collaborate with a small team to plan, develop and schedule social media content. I attend monthly planning meetings to develop content and graphics, and review analytics. As the Agency was new to social media I developed a content and launch strategy, visual content guidelines, and provided staff training.

Beechwood Village Alliance is an informal coalition of citizens living in all of the neighbourhoods bordering Beechwood Avenue (Vanier, New Edinburgh, Lindenlea, Rockcliffe Park and Manor Park) working to make Beechwood a more dynamic and vibrant main street for our communities. Liaising with businesses and co-ordinating the annual Summer Solstice Stroll and involved in the annual Jane's Walk event.

Responsible for ensuring tenants receive a high standard of service; coordinating the leasing of units, managing tenant related matters, liaising with community partners and overseeing management of 288 units over six properties.

As Information Officer I wore many hats, one of them being a provider of statistics and reports tostakeholders as well as liaising with them for the coordination of educational events. Beinginvolved with a data driven start-up organization meant having the opportunity to design andproduce key tools for measuring risk, compliance and for providing comparative data, all of which are used in 550 Canadian housing co-ops. As chairperson of the sustainability committee I initiated, obtained financing and led a carbon offset initiative which is providing energy audits for housing co-ops on a cost shared basis and offsetting staff travel. I was also involved with a Benchmarking and Best Practices Advisory committee in setting up a new service to co-op clients.

Developed and promoted a national youth leadership mentoring program. Produced a businessplan and a budget for a regional youth summer employment initiative. Applied for funding and coordinated marketing and recruitment. Co-ordinated a regional advocacy campaign for federal and municipal elections. Provided financial and property management services for housing cooperatives. Promoted food security through workshops and presentations.

Responsible for the overall administration and registration of students. Worked in collaboration with the Marketing Department in producing marketing materials and promoting All Hallows at national educationsl fairs. Co-ordinated a foreign student exchange program with Trier University in Germany. Researched and produced a student information booklet. Involved in the marketing and co-ordination of the continuing education program. Developed a survey to analyse the success of the Post-Graduate Studies program. Advised and assisted board of directors in establishing objectives, bylaws, management procedures and other basic controls. Administered a $1 million budget and rent subsidy program. Responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of day-to-day operations, accounts payable, receivable, payroll, bank reconciliation and audit preparations.
