As a passionate storyteller, I use narratives to inspire different audiences to create social change. I have significant experience crafting and implementing communications strategy. I use web technology, including interactive storytelling tools, video, audio and the printed word to promote community involvement in a variety of causes. I have worked as a communicator, editor and reporter with a strong interest in narrative journalism and digital storytelling. I got my start in radio, which is my first love.Currently, I am communications director at the UC Berkeley Labor Center where I lead communications strategy and media relations on a range of economic justice issues including low-wage work, a just transition to a green economy, healthcare access and labor rights. I have advised nonprofits in strategic communications and provided multimedia production, editing and writing services.
