As a Personal Support Worker in an extended care unit I play a crucial role in promoting the dignity and independence of the residents I care for. I had the opportunity to work as an instructor for the Personal Support Worker (PSW) program at Conestoga College. In this role, I facilitated hands-on labs, providing students with practical experience during the fast-track program. My main focus was to ensure that students developed the necessary skills and confidence to apply their learning in real-world healthcare settings. I enjoyed guiding them through various practical scenarios, fostering an interactive learning environment that prepared them for their future roles in the healthcare field.
