I get a lot of feedback “Wow, you really wanted to talk with me, so I’m getting back to you”!✏If no response in 48 hours I follow up with another phone call and digital outreach. Continue for up to 5 attempts. You’d be surprised by the connections you make after 5 attempts.✏We all know the importance of referrals. Ask each person these questions. It spurs their memory:🎯Whom have you interviewed that you wanted to hire, but could not?🎯Who has been a mentor of yours?🎯Who have you worked with in the past that impressed you?🎯Did you recently meet a superstar at a zoom conference, podcast, or webinar?🎯Remind them that referrals don’t need to be actively job seeking. This sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised how many people only consider those people who are looking to make a change.Personal Mantra: Do more listening than talking 👂🏻.Remember: Be patient when interviewing a candidate that is a bit uptight.
