With substantial experience in strategy development and implementation, business development and marketing, I currently work with our 700+ lawyers to give them the campaigns, skills and confidence required to win new work and to build strong client relationships. I also work alongside the Board and Business Services functions to develop and implement the strategic projects to underpin and drive the growth of our £144 million turnover firm. This covers everything from the implementation of CRM and CMS systems, BD and client care skills and best practice programmes, mergers and ground-breaking, fully integrated thought leadership campaigns through to the develop of the firm’s 2025 strategy.I lead a team of 50, spread across the UK and manage budgets in excess of £4 million. The team delivers an outstanding range of ground-breaking and effective BD and marketing campaigns – Full Scale Ahead, Exciting Disruptors, Innovation 50, Fast Growth Secrets. My role is to ensure that they have training, skills, confidence and direction to implement our BD and marketing programme to ensure business growth. Uniquely, we're the only law firm to be ranked for 19 years running by the Best 100 Companies To Work For survey and only one of three businesses to do this. We've achieved this by creating a fantastic culture - interesting, challenging work within a supportive culture where we're not afraid to have a bit of fun. One of my highlights of the last few years has been the success of the Mills & Reeve rowing crews!My diverse experience means I also have much to offer the not for profit sector and currently am a trustee for the Jurassic Coast Trust, England’s only natural World Heritage Site. I am also a student in the Institute of Masters of Wine programme and write regularly for a range of wine publications and my local paper!
