Working at various stages on a range of projects for Colin Thompson Architect in Inverurie. Tasks included: conducting and drafting building site surveys, liaising with clients, producing sketch proposals, producing planning application drawings, producing building warrant application drawings, writing specifications, U-value calculations, and production of SketchUp models.

Working for Fugro Subsea Services Ltd. in Aberdeen. I was involved in the processing and reporting of data/information from subsea surveys of oil/gas pipelines and other related installations. I used various in-house database software as well as MS Excel and AutoCAD. I was mostly office based but also worked on survey vessels occasionally.

Working on small scale architectural projects, initially alongside my studies. In September 2011 I set up my own company, working on various projects in the Aberdeen and Inverness areas including a domestic renovation/extension, cider brewery, office conversion, private indoor swimming pool and 3 new build houses. Whilst I enjoyed this work, the work load was not sufficient.

Digital visualisation/animation work primarily explaining SIPS technology to potential clients and investors. I also tested Vectorworks on behalf of the company.

Working at various design stages, including surveys, on a range of projects at Trevor Black Architects, Invergordon. I also performed various calculations for U-values, SAP, BREAM assessment, EPCs etc. I set up Excel spreadsheets to perform these for the company.
