Postdoctoral Researcher - Eurofusion Researcher GrantPiim Laboratory Sep 2021 - PresentIn collaboration with the German research center Forschungszentrum Jülich and the ITER Organization.> Estimation of the duty cycle of the future reactor ITER (number of discharges per day). This duty cycle depends on the gas pressure between discharges in the reactor vacuum chamber. This pressure must reach a critical value to allow the start of the next discharge.- Integration of a hydrogen-material surface interaction model into the Dynamics of Wall ElemEnts (DWE) code to simulate hydrogen-beryllium interaction.- Simulation of the outgassing of hydrogen molecules and the resulting pressure in the vacuum chamber of the JET ITER-like Wall tokamak with the DWE code. Comparison with experimental pressure measurements to validate the code.- Estimation of the pressure in the vacuum chamber of the ITER reactor following plasma discharges, in order to estimate the time needed to reach the critical pressure. -
