As software design and support engineer on the OSP software product, I was:- designing and implementing solutions for our worldwide clients- providing professional support to our clients and to all Alcatel-Lucent centers developing applications on top of Alcatel-Lucent OSP in various cases: . outages on live systems, . issues in the integration with the OSP products, . coaching to applications design and development.I mainly supported the following parts of OSP :- statistics and accounting- alarms- configuration and access- management activity scheduler and recorder- installation- replication processes- DB management and tuning- service design and development- technical trainings

Development of statistics and accounting part of the Alcatel-Lucent OSP software platform.Taking over responsibility of those modules in current OSP release (IN 2.3).After having proved my technical and development skills on current release, I was promoted architect for new OSP release (OSP 2.4).I was responsible of the whole development cycle : design, development, testing, documentation, training.Languages used within the different layers of the OSP: C++ for the real-time part, interfacing with Oracle DB (SQL, PL/SQL, Pro*C), JAVA for the GUIs, SOAP protocol in between, also writing shell scripts (KSH) (for upgrades, installations, system monitoring) and reusable modules for our toolchain (using .NET for GUIs, C/C++ for real-time part).Alcatel-Lucent OSP software real-time part is running on Unix systems (both Solaris and Linux Red Hat).Real-time developments in C/C++ interacting in proC with Oracle DB: collecting data from call tickets (performance of applications, operator's activities, behaviour of OSP users), aggregating counters and storing computations output in historical files / tables, detection of threshold and watcher alerting end-user.GUI developments in JAVA: generating reports and charts on basis of configurable subscriptions mechanism, monitoring of calls data, decoding of accounting information.Plus a set of shell scripts for upgrades, installations, system monitoring.Main features developed :- multi-threading of the processing part to be able to face several thousands of CAPS- storage of statistics counters in Oracle iso binary files providing new Oracle built in features- new GUI for more intuitive display of complex reports- improved monitoring features with criteria- dynamic custom decode library- automation of accounting files decoding

IDE development.Development of the reporting part of the OSP applications testing tool of the Alcatel-Lucent OSP toolchain.I developed an intuitive graphical module in Visual Basic to configure and generate tests reports of tests campaigns to be published on quality web pages.
