I have worked in three different positions at my current job. For six months I worked all three positions. I taught music and organized programs for preschool aged children in the mornings. Two afternoons a week I was in a classroom nurturing the development of twelve three-year-olds. The other three afternoons, I was in charge of scheduling the afternoon teachers, making sure all of the children were in a safe environment, and communicating with parents while our interim director was off-site. During this time, the preschool I worked at changed buildings and lost our director as well as our assistant director. I aided our interim director during this transition and became a full time office employee during the next school year. I currently assist our new director by scheduling our afternoon teachers, training new teachers, taking interested parents on tours of our facilities, and keeping all student and teacher files up to date. I have discovered a passion for caring for preschool aged children. To see the development of their minds and bodies over the few years they spend with us is amazing. When they first come to our school they are unable to communicate their wants and needs with us. When they leave, they are able to read, write, and communicate. I love seeing these children grow into their personalities. It is an amazing experience to be able to have a positive impact on the early years of a person's life.
