I am a third year law student at South Texas College of Law Houston, with a deep interest in energy law, with more of a focus in oil and gas law. During the summer of 2024, I interned at a boutique firm that primarily focused on corporate real estate. This role provided me with valuable insights into the realm of property law, including litigation surrounding property issues while also allowing opportunities to hone in on the transactional skills that were required for the back end of the disputes. During the summer of 2023, I interned at a nationally recognized personal injury firm, Gourdarzi & Young, where I found my interest in litigation. There, I gained an immense amount of knowledge and experience surrounding discovery, including putting together documents to aid depositions, and to recognize deficiencies in order to draft deficiency letters and motions to compel. Prior to entering law school, I spent my undergraduate years competing at the highest level of collegiate softball. This was not only an accomplishment within itself, but that time on and off the field helped me acquire skills to be highly successful in the workplace. I have a strong passion for leadership, possess quality communication skills, open to constructive criticism, and motivated to excel in a team-environment. The strongest attribute I have acquired from being a student athlete is my desire to succeed, and the ability to compete at my best even when put under immense pressure.
