Leadership team member, supporting all functions of the association but specializing in creating new programs, curating content, managing events, creating educational curriculum, and supporting industry standards development.

As VP Marketing and Meetings, I managed the brand and marketing strategy for Idealliance, a global visual communication industry association. Leading in-house staff as well as an outside agency, I managed both product and project marketing, much of it centering on the well-regarded technical training and certification programs. I managed the organization's public relations efforts, meetings, and events and produced all marketing communications, including creating a new association magazine.)

I managed marketing communications/publishing and educational programming for what was at the time the world's largest graphic communication association. I lead an in-house team of marketing, design, web, and content managers, providing marketing, editorial, and PR support for dozens of programs. On the education side, I programmed the organization's conferences, implemented a Learning Management System, and rolled out a new certification program, the first for the organization, complete with online content delivery and testing. My portfolio amounted to 1/3 of the association's total budget. As part of the executive management team, I helped develop the association's key initiatives each year and worked with my peers to execute them. I interacted frequently with leadership, attending, and often presenting at board meetings and working closely with board members in the management of the education and marketing committees.

I directed the Center for Imaging Excellence (a working pre-media, digital printing, and training facility) with expertise in a wide range of digital technologies about which I wrote and spoke extensively, creating new programs of interest to the association's membership, including award programs, conferences, special interest websites, and online educational programs.I managed three distinct business units: the Integrated Print Center, Conferences and Education, and Internet Communications. I interfaced with the association’s affiliate managers, board members, and steering committee members, wrote extensively (co-authoring three books), consulted with member companies and the vendor community, and traveled broadly to speak at industry events.

I joined PAGE Imaging to develop and implement programs to improve key systems, focusing on electronic publishing. I specified and implemented new equipment, defined and documented SOPs, designed training programs and entirely revamped production workflow. The scope of my responsibility grew to include assisting the corporate officers with general company administration and I directly managed the Information Systems group.
