Lead an HR team of 11 in formulating and executing strategic HR initiatives▶ Automate and streamline HR processes through digital transformations, saving time and money, expediting processing time, reducing errors, and expanding HR capacity▶ Designed and led Rack Room Shoes/Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse merger; assisted with acquisition of US-based footwear company purchased by RRS’s parent company▶ Led compensation analysis and restructuring projects for district-level employees, store managers, and store employees, incorporating industry best practices and geographic differentials▶ Overhauled employee relations model, strengthening HR partnerships for corporate and store operations▶ Managed upgrade from Ceridian Redwood to Ceridian Dayforce for 250-employee corporate payroll▶ Designed and implemented a Paid Parental Leave Policy; modernized leave administration process in coordination with disability insurance carriers, improving compliance with FMLA and a complex array of state and local leave laws▶ Managed RFP for new fiduciary partner and recordkeeper for the 401(k) and non-qualified retirement plans, saving $60K annually in administrative fees▶ Sourced and hired a local CMO without using an external executive recruiter▶ Led organization’s Pandemic response, creating protocols to ensure the safety of employees and customers and compliance with rapidly changing federal guidance as well as for 36 states; led transition back to previous operational standards as pandemic restrictions expired▶ Cultivate relationships with corporate HQ staff, implementing a hybrid work policy and employee engagement program to boost camaraderie and strengthen HR’s role post-pandemic
