Project Manager for a Technology Initiative Grant (TIG)-funded project expanding Legal Aid of Western Ohio’s capacity to provide services in its thirty-two county service area. This project enhanced and expanded the delivery of pro bono services in its thirty rural counties by using chat technology and appropriate legal resources to offer volunteer attorneys brief, time-limited volunteer opportunities with flexible hours options.This project has succeeded in developing and launching the first Legal Services Corporation (LSC) TIG-funded chat-based counsel and advice service in the country staffed by pro bono attorneys.

Radford, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Library and Information Science, Rutgers, and Lynn Silipigni Connaway, Ph.D., Consulting Research Scientist, OCLC, were the two principal investigators."Seeking Synchronicity: Evaluating Virtual Reference Services from User, Non-User, and Librarian Perspectives," studied and evaluated the sustainability and relevance of virtual reference services. VRS are human-mediated, Internet-based library information services.
