The Center for Early Childhood Connections provides relationship focused, culturally attuned, and collaborative educational, mental health and wellness supports starting from pregnancy through age five for young children and those who care for them.

The MCP Field Placement Manager serves as primary contact for a variety of Counseling Psychology practicum placements. The Manager is responsible for working successfully with multiple internal and external partners including MCP students, CIIS mental health training clinic sites, CIIS MCP programs and business departments, and community mental health agencies and organizations to provide information and guidance that fosters and enhances the field placement needs of MCP students and the mission and vision of CIIS. Currently there are approximately 200 students who may rotate in or out of required clinical placements each semester, 5 MCP-level CIIS training clinics, and a total field of over 165 active external clinic sites.

Provide long-term, psychodynamic therapy to individuals and couples. Participate in 2-year psychodynamic therapy training program.The Psychotherapy Institute is a non-profit organization of mental health professionals that was founded in 1972. Members come from many disciplines: marriage, family, child therapy, social work, psychology, psychiatry, and nursing. We’re united by dedication to psychodynamic approaches to therapy and interest in professional development and growth. The Institute is governed by committees of volunteer Institute members. Our education program provides continuing education to the professional community. Through our training programs and moderate-fee, state-licensed clinic, we provide high quality, affordable psychotherapy to residents of the East Bay.

Provide weekly individual therapy services with an emphasis in work with UC Berkeley graduate students. Carry a caseload of appx. 20 weekly patients. Supervised by C. Tyia Grange Isaacson, PhD, LCSW.

Provide individual and group bereavement counseling to family members of patients who have died in hospice care and members of the wider Bay Area community. Co-facilitate support groups for partner loss. Provide weekly bereavement check-in phone calls to provide ongoing emotional support after the loss of a loved one. Attend interdisciplinary group meetings with members of hospice team to coordinate patient care.

With the Onsite Membership Manager, hire, on-board/train, supervise, and motivate approximately fifteen Onsite Membership Assistants. Ensure compliance with union contract for staffing. Support team to meet sales and service goals. Role model and coach professional, prompt, respectful and efficient service resolutions and job performance. Take initiative to problem solve escalated and short term customer service issues with resources available. Step in as department manager in the Onsite Membership Manager's absence.Manage day-to-day onsite membership admission, ticketing, and sales operations with the Onsite Membership Manager. Conduct daily briefings with onsite staff, making sure they are kept up-to-date on current and upcoming exhibitions, public programs, and other museum-related activities of interest to all museumgoers and SFMOMA members specifically. Proactively maintain clean workstations and patron-facing environments.Build the weekly staff schedule and the daily break schedule for Onsite Membership team with the assistance of the Onsite Membership Manager. Approve and adjust staff timecards in the Onsite Membership Manager's absence. Pull staff schedule and timecard reports for department.Become an expert on the use of SFMOMA's CRM software Tessitura. With the Onsite Membership Manager, train Onsite Membership team staff in the use of Tessitura and offer team support during daily operations, managing adherence to the standard operating procedures. Generate training agendas and onboarding and training plans for new hires.Support Onsite Membership team by cross-training and troubleshooting in excellent customer service for non-membership services (selling general museum, exhibition, and event-related tickets to both members and visitors). Help plan and present sessions at frontline training days, working closely with the frontline management team.

Promote and sell memberships at the membership desk and in various locations of the museum as required. Assist Onsite Membership management in the production of daily sales and attendance reports for membership sales. Actively onboard new onsite membership staff in CRM, policies, and procedures. Empowered to resolve member escalations and assist other team members with the same.

Supported Dr. Jacqueline Persons Ph.D. in office tasks, including travel planning, bookkeeping, and organizing patient records. Designed, built and maintained the Center website and logo.

Assist in studies of (a) emotional functioning in dementia patients and their primary caregivers, and (b) emotion and interoceptive awareness. Run participants through psychophysiological experiments and assist in selecting stimuli for these experiments. Clean large datasets using Microsoft Excel.

Volunteer assistant in studies of (a) therapeutic progress monitoring, (b) assessments for major depression in adults, and (c) differential response to cognitive behavior therapy between Asian and Caucasian clients. Co-authored a book chapter evaluating assessments for adult depression.
