    The Maryland on Economic Education, MCEE, focuses on enhancing and advancing economic and financial education for Maryland's teachers and students. MCEE provides professional development and curricular resources for K-12 teachers; engaging hands-on programs and challenging academic competitions for K-12 students; as well as dialogue with policy makers. Each year MCEE partners with the Maryland State Department of Education as well local school districts and the private school community to provide professional development to more than 2,000 teachers per year making them, better prepared teach their 185,000 students per year. Additionally, about 20,000 students per year participate in MCEE-facilitated statewide academic competitions. As the Executive Director, I manage all aspects of the organization including program management, fundraising, board development, and outreach to policy makers and partner organizations. I personally feel very passionate that financial education is an equity issue and that all students, regardless of their geographic and socioeconomic background, deserve access to obtaining the financial skills necessary for leading a successful life.
