Placing marketing at the core of a business is what I enjoy, to improve communications both internally and externally and aid growth, prosperity, sustainability and profits to a business.My career has spanned many industries, starting initially in engineering, however, when I took the decision to study for my professional marketing qualifications, my career took me into technical sales, which then led to business development and senior marketing roles. With a substantial experience in working in B2B, but I also spent several years working in the Higher Education sector.After moving from Hampshire to Cheshire, I then established my own business and spent approx. 10 years working as a marketing consultant; working with businesses who were at varying stages and needed support to review and develop plans to re-establish their business within their sector, because:- They realised that the need to move the business to the next level- They realised that doing more of the same won't move them forward- Facing greater competition and lost market placement In all scenarios there was a need to review the business in detail – inside and out. At these stages there is a necessity to create an improved profile, position and brand, using both digital and offline marketing strategies, or risk losing market share to the competition.Listening and working closing with a client to really understand their business, market sector and aims, so practical solutions could be proposed, (reviewing all aspects of the marketing mix - not just promotion), to suit their needs, resource and budgets.
