Julie is a highly energetic, visionary operations leader with a reputation for challenging the status quo. From her early career in pediatric nursing to developing new products at Google to founding her own start-up Julie has always focused on understanding systems and end users – designing products that improve communication and optimize productivity. As an early employee and Director of Product at Basis, Julie led the development and launch of the first watch with optical heart rate monitoring. Under her leadership, Basis went from $9M series A funding to a $150M acquisition by Intel. Julie continued her success at Google where, over the course of her 15-year career, she led multiple early-stage Ads & Commerce and Google Health product teams from idea to team maturity. Among the multi-million dollar efforts she led were Google Shopping Express, Seller Ratings, the Google Cloud’s Healthcare team, and a Google incubator’s first healthcare product -- hospital scheduling. Married with 3 kids, unlimited energy, and a passion for fitness, Julie holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan and still maintains her California RN license – which she put to use as a volunteer vaccinator during Covid.
