I would greet tables and take their orders, with an emphasis on upselling and loyalty program sign-ups. Responsibilities included light and deep cleaning, knowledge of restaurant operations, and rote memorization of the menu. A typical shift is fast-paced and hectic, an environment I thrive in.

Worked within a team of 5-6 people to provide third-party marketing services for AT&T in conjunction with Sam’s Club. Job duties included standing for 8+ hours, peaking with 100-200 people per day, providing customer service, and closing sales of AT&T, Samsung, Google, and Apple products.

Along with 2-3 other workers, we would create smoothies and handle the register in rotation. This job required memorization of the 8 set smoothie recipes as well as creating custom smoothies and smoothie bowls. Team members did diligent cleaning at open and close, as well as handling the industrial dishwasher at the end of the shift.

My position entailed taking customers orders and entering them into our system. This included online delivery orders and Elevate orders, which would usually arrive simultaneous to the in-person customers. I was also a food runner/plater, and would finish the orders in the kitchen by checking the accuracy, adding sauces, and finishing the packaging.

I followed around a single medical physician in the ED and took notes of the patient’s account of the incident as told to the MD. I then transcribed those notes into accurate medical jargon and submitted them to the computer system Epic.
