Duties:• Participate in internal investigations. • Coordinate teams of document reviewers for internal investigations.• Draft processes and procedures for detection and mitigation of vulnerabilities.• Carry out due diligence, background checks, and risk assessments.• Act as a hotline.• Conduct training.• Advise companies on data protection impact assessments and implementation of data privacy compliance programs. • Advise companies on compliance with the Brazilian data protection laws and regulations.• Advise companies on data protection security incidents and communication with the regulatory authority.Main accomplishments and results:• Assisted the internal investigation of Eletrobras, relating to allegations of corruption, commercial bribery, and mismanagement arising out of the “Lava Jato” investigation in Brazil.• Coordinated teams of document reviewers for internal investigations, having reviewed various corporate documents and commercial agreements. • Contributed to internal investigations on matters related to Compliance and fraud in various industries, including Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Educational, and Automotive. • Assisted with the cooperation with the US Department of Justice (DOJ) and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in case of fraud for a reinsurance company.• Acted as a hotline for a German multinational in the automotive industry.• Conducted training on cybersecurity and anti-bribery compliance programs. • Assisted internal investigation teams with matters related to information security, maintenance, and data collection in electronic equipment.• Advised software companies on compliance with Brazilian data protection laws and regulations.• Advised a German company on implementing a data privacy program, managing data privacy security incidents, and communicating with the National Data Protection Authority. • Assisting foreign technology companies in complying with Brazilian data protection laws and regulations.
