As the Director of Human Resources at the Osage Nation Tribal Government, I lead a dedicated HR team to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that align with the mission and goals of our organization.I oversee all HR operations, including recruitment, retention, performance management, compensation, and benefits. I'm also responsible for developing and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting professional development opportunities for our staff.In addition, I serve as a liaison between employees and management, and I'm committed to honoring and respecting the rich cultural heritage of the Osage Nation within our workplace. My role allows me to combine my expertise in HR management with a deep respect for our tribal community, contributing to the social, cultural, and economic growth of the Osage Nation.

Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment of mutual trust, respect and loyalty amongst all members of the organization. This includes designing and leading a comprehensive, strategically focused human resources program that focuses on talent management, succession planning, recruitment and retention, workforce development, performance management, rewards and recognition, compliance with regulatory agencies, benefits and compensation, organizational development and effective management of human resources information systems.Key responsibilities for the Human Resources Director include, but are not limited to:• Develop and manage human resource strategies to achieve short-term and long-term organizational goals• Lead and develop a Human Resources team and maintain excellent working relationships with managers and staff• Analyze the company’s talent, resource and recruiting needs, and develop and implement strategies to meet them• Facilitate a positive and healthy workplace culture that attracts and retains talent• Monitor, review and evaluate staff performance in line with organizational objectives• Create and implement strategic initiatives related to human resources, organizational change and development• Analyze compensation and benefits data, making recommendations to ensure compliance with applicable legal regulations• Establish and maintain a high standard of compliance with all regulatory bodies• Advise on talent management and performance reviews• Develop, plan and implement policies, processes, programs and tools to improve workforce efficiency• Track and analyze Human Resources KPIs and other related data to develop and implement strategies for improving organizational performance• Develop employee engagement programs, initiatives, and processes that increase motivation, morale and engagement.

The director role demonstrates leadership and responsibility for the function of the defined service line which will include two or more unrelated departments. The strength of this role is through the collaboration that results in organizational-level performance. This director role facilitates improved alignment with strategic vision for the entire service line. Sharing of information, collaboration, and communication are essential for success. Director level position possesses the training and skills to perform Administrator on Call (AOC) role and participates with the call rotation. Functions as a role model for current and new staff and may perform the same duties/responsibilities as subordinates. The role demonstrates expertise and is able to handle multiple priorities

The Recruitment and Retention Coordinator provides analysis, guidance and recommendationsin the areas of recruitment, classification and compensation, benefits administration, onboardingand staff evaluations under limited supervision. Subject matter expert who may provide direction to staff and works as a bridge between departments, employees and functions.
