Obsessed with technology, real estate and solving problems. As a real estate agent, I help home sellers with their unique situation - either to sell quickly for cash or repair for top dollar. I specialize in helping heirs liquidate real property during the probate process. Spent years working in the Information Technology industry in these positions: Technical Analyst, Program Manager, IT Project Manager, IT Business Analyst, Corporate Trainer, Technical Writer, Technical Support Engineer and Systems Administrator. Responsibilities include project management, partnering with business users and software developers, training and mentoring, writing technical requirements and documentation, communicating with stakeholders, organizing and leading meetings as well as solving technical problems. Manage concurrent technical projects using Agile methodology with the software developers to ship quality products on time while satisfying business users objectives. Act as a liaison between developers, business users, executives and vendors and kept everyone aware of the project's status and risks. Use servant leadership and influence as a motivating factor to meet project requirements and deadlines. Results-oriented with excellent problem solving skills, verbal and written communication, attention to detail and an eagerness to learn new tools and technologies. Completed Scrum Master certification in September, 2014. Won the Go Code software competition in 2018.Outside of work, I'm a very picky investor (I only invest in things I can control - learned the hard way ;-). Currently, gathering local real estate investors for networking in order to provide my seller clients a cash offer option. I'm active in my local community.

Private Investor / It Project ManagerCollective Wisdom Technologies Apr 2018 - Nov 2018Greater New York City AreaInvested in this technology company/platform because it spoke to my core values of entrepreneurship and helping entrepreneurs start a company and/or succeed by giving them seed funding.Had to step in and work with the front-end website developer on all aspects of design and functionality to make a sales and marketing site. Worked with the back-end platform development company to test, file bugs and make recommendations on UX changes to make it more functional and simple to use.The experience ended poorly due to the unprofessional CEO that we had to fire for using company money for personal use and poor decision making skills. I lost $172k and learned some hard, but valuable lessons.

Private Money Lender / Angel InvestorMe Jan 2018 - Nov 2018Grand Junction, Colorado AreaGave my first private money loan for a residential real estate project. We worked hand in hand on the design choices and anything else they needed my help with. The goal was to finish the renovations that they started and then sell it. The house was built in 1955 and was gutted to provide new everything (electrical wiring, sewage, roof, sidewalks, concrete, fence, kitchen, bathrooms, etc.) with an addition to the living and dining area and a walk-in closet and bathroom added to the master bedroom, plus a new large front porch. The loan amount was $42,000 at 12% interest with a $500 origination fee. I ended up injecting more money in ($23k) and it was paid back in one payment at closing. It was on the market for four days (no MLS) and received full asking price at $269,900 with a 2.5 week close.Proud of the results of this project: the house and the neighborhood look great! I helped with design choices, project management and lots of labor.

2018 WinnerGo Code Colorado Apr 2018 - Jun 2018Grand Junction, Colorado AreaThe Business Incentives team was one of three winners of the State of Colorado’s ultimate software competition, Go Code Colorado. The 2018 Challenge Statement for the competition was: Build a product that uses public data to deliver insights for a business decision maker. Business Incentives is a search tool for entrepreneurs that aggregates data from multiple entities and displays results for grants, loans, tax incentives, enterprise and opportunity zones as well as other types of resources and funding. They used three state datasets, two federal sources and a custom set of data tables. The Business Incentives team included Aaron Clymer, Sonja Patterson, Boris and Juli Rasmussen. The original idea came from Joanna Joslyn, who had to drop out of the competition after delivering an amazing pitch and winning Challenge Weekend on April 15, 2018.The three winning teams were Business Incentives from Grand Junction, Carbos from Fort Collins and Adobio from Colorado Springs. They will each receive a prize of $15,000 per team, which they can use to create a business entity and have money for startup expenses, or they can divide the winnings amongst the team. This is the first win for the Western Slope in the competition’s five year history. All teams attended an information session in February to learn what the challenge statement was. That was followed by Challenge Weekend on April 13 - 15, which is where the Business Incentives team was created and the idea was formed. They attended Mentor Weekend in Boulder from April 27 - 29, 2018.The final competition was held Thursday, June 7 at the Seawell Ballroom in Denver. Judges selected three winning teams from ten, which had been whittled down from 40 teams made up of more than 260 participants after the kick off in February. My roles were project management with the developers, design (created the logo and pitch slides), helped with UI/UX choices and anything that needed to be done for this 6 week MVP project! -
