This newly build distribution centre was created with growth in mind and has since its construction acquired Oboz and Ripcurl under the Kathmandu brand umbrella. This environmentally friendly facility has a solar system powerful enough to power 500 households and creates more energy than required by our industry leading automation.This highly dynamic business sees volume increases of 300% - 400% during Sale periods most notably autumn and winter sale therefore having robust processes, training and team capability is vital for success. This site is Australia’s largest Retail distribution centre with volumes of 500,000 to 1,000,000 cartons processed per week. This site is the only non-Kmart run facility in Australia.I have managed the X-Dock Sortation and a team of 66 Heads to deliver 120,000 cartons processed per day. The sortation system is a Dematic Cross Belt system which has 4 infeed’s and 88 declines. Main achievements in this department have been: • Optimised labour planning based on planned cube to be sorted. This has driven a 10% increase on productivity in the department by being strategic which head counts and work flow.• Embedded the disciplines for housekeeping and sortation health checks. • Mentoring and coaching to build a high performing team I also managed the Pick and Pack department which picks the replenishment orders for store which equates to 250,000 cartons per week (Based on sales).Largest footprint department with 18,000 reserve locations and 5000 Bulk floor locations.Stock from this department is the highest priority stock within the supply chain. Direct reports of 6 Team Leaders and 2 Warehouse clerks which cascades down to 70 Team members. Involved in a major transformation for the Kmart supply chain, all stock is being converted to Demand driven inventory which means the stores will only receive the stock they need. We have moved from the Push style of order allocation to a Pull style to alleviate congestion at stores. This has meant we are more strategic with what stock we bring into the DC as we need to buffer stock until sales at stores create demand. In the past year I have lead improvement and cultural change to the benefit of a 45% increase in productivity in the department.

Responsible for day to day operations of site and week/monthly forward planning. This role was reporting to the DC Manager. My direct reports where 4 Team Managers and 4 Team Leaders which cascaded down to 260 Team members. I had the responsibility for leading safety on site with a strong focus on creating an excellent site safety culture which resulted to 0 LTI’s for the duration of the contract. I conducted weekly site team talks/toolboxes to over 260 people. Responsible for welfare and disciplinary discussions as they arose. My team’s high performance throughout this contract saw Toll receiving $2 million in gain share revenue.Site Replenishment ImplementationIn our initial start-up of the Target site I was running the afternoon shift where I was an integral part of the replenishment implementation. In addition to being part of the physical layout design team I also developed all required SOP/SWP’s for all tasks. Being a brand-new operation I identified new Team Leaders for key roles and coached and mentored numerous high preforming Team Leaders, some of which have now gone to Managerial roles within other business groups at Toll.Our replenishment operation had out preformed budgeted expectation of Target by 140%. The success of this start-up was deemed as the benchmark for all future Target DC’s . Replenishment currently tops up stock for all national stores.X-Dock ImplementationToll had been successful in gaining the Target X-Dock contract in September 2015 and I had been tasked with designing and implementing X-Dock into our already busy operation. Our budgeted 3 month ramp up figures and volume where met by the first month. The implementation out preformed Target supply chain expectations. X-Dock services all national stores with approximately 50k cartons picked per day.
