- Gallic Wars (58-50 BC)- For over nine years I fought alongside a large army to conquer and defeat many cities. These took place against Celtic and Germanic people in Gaul because they were against the Roman Republic. I wrote a book explaining the battles called Commentari de Bello Gallico. - Consul/Governor (61-59 BC)- I was consul of the Roman Republic which was the highest ranking at the time. After my time I was governor of Gaul which I took over but still gained respect from the people and army. During this time I remained general (with Pompey).- Dictator of Rome (46-44 BC)- I gained power of Rome again and declared myself as the dictator. I made several advancements to the government and society which made me the most powerful man at the time. Although my reign was short I made some of the most impactful improvements to Rome and the rest of the world.
