With a passion for European journalism and a vision to revolutionise the media landscape, I co-founded The European Correspondent in January 2022. This groundbreaking, community-funded digital media organisation is dedicated to covering Europe’s multifaceted stories, with a team of over 170 journalists and organisers from all over the continent. As a co-founder, I am responsible for our editorial output and global talent acquisition, recruiting, and team building of our skilled journalists.Next to my work at The European Correspondent, I currently work in the editor at Germany's leading economics and finance newspaper Handelsblatt. As a freelancer, I also wrote about social inequalities, global heating, and organised crime for outlets such as Wochenzeitung, Tageszeitung, Das Magazin, and others.Additionally, I am an advisory board member at European Youth Press, an umbrella organisation representing around 50 000 young European media makers, where I guide, assist, and supervise the work of the executive board. Furthermore, I have a background in international law through my studies at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Middle Eastern studies at Universiteit van Amsterdam. I am a fellow of the German political foundation Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.
