• Prepares components from whole blood, including centrifugation to separate platelets and plasma, preparing fibrin adhesive, cryoprecipitate and granulocytes, and dry platelets.• Prepares frozen products including frozen red blood cells, deglycerolizes and washes red cells.• Measures and prepares lab reagents, prepares and maintains appropriate records, logs, worksheets, labels, testing materials, stores units, components, samples and products. • Performs quarantine and labeling of blood products. • Performs quality control associated with blood products, equipment and temperatures.• Solves technical problems using moderate degree of independent judgment with minimal supervision.

• Formulation of components and final product of hematology and urine controls used for In-Vitro Diagnostics.• Assemble urine and blood based controls by aseptic filling, capping, labeling and packaging while minimizing scrap.• Review manufacturing documentation for accuracy and completeness to identify and address problem.• Maintain accurate documentation/records related to work in progress, quality, labor, materials and test results.
