I am a curious and experienced engineer with a wide ranging background from developing software and hardware for computer vision systems in a research as well as an industrial context. My strengths lie in cross-functional collaboration and developing and managing products from early stage prototyping over the development to commercialization and roll-out of technology that enables a sustainable future for our planet.In my previous role, I was a Senior Computer Vision Engineer at Apeel developing computer vision and spectroscopy solutions from that automate industrial processes and collect data to measure fresh produce quality with the goal to reduce food waste. The products I developed are being used globally and a critical in the efforts to reduce manual labor and ensure quality along the way.I have always had a fascination for all visual aspects of life. From photography and film to visual arts and design. After working in Film and Television for a number of years, I decided to embark on an academic journey which led me to pursue a PhD in Image Processing, specializing in Hyperspectral Imaging. Realizing the enormous implications of this technology, I decided to widen my efforts and join the industry to unlock the full potential of computer vision technologies. My personal life revolves in many aspects around music and arts. Playing the guitar and piano as well as visiting concerts and galleries provide me the necessary balance to my professional life.
