I recently completed my M.S.in Green Technologies and my B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a focus in Sustainable Energy at the University of Southern California, and am a licensed E.i.T. I believe that the preservation of the natural environment relies on equitable, innovative solutions aimed at decarbonizing our energy infrastructure and our manufacturing industries.I am currently looking for jobs in the renewable energy field, specifically within green hydrogen, photovoltaic cells and battery storage. I am looking to work under a Professional Engineer, and am driven to work in a lab-based environment to improve my hands-on Chemical Engineering skills.I believe that the future of energy depends largely on three grand innovations. The first is improving the technology of renewable energy sources to increase efficiency and decrease costs. The second is upgrading the electrical grid to one that is better suited for integration of renewables, and that while being more diversified, depends more on localized energy production. The third is innovating new systems of energy storage that would, among other grand infrastructural changes, ultimately allow for inter-country energy trade. If these three innovations are pursued with a human-oriented approach, prioritizing equity and environmental justice, the world's energy future will be promising.
