The New Retail trade route to China for Nordic brands

Provided support to various investment funds but soon shifted focus towards third party advisory and M&A deals. Opportunity identification, client communication and project management were my main tasks.

Main role was to build up the project management team and work closely with the sales team, on Beringer’s pipeline of mandates. Amongst other projects, I managed the sale of a majority share in Iceland’s largest IT Company, Advania, to foreign investors. Together with my team of nine, we provided business model valuations and improvement suggestions for promising startups, as well as competitive and tech analysis with financial projections for a vast number of companies resulting in numerous meetings with interested investors both in Iceland and in Scandinavia. Advised on the acquisition of numerous companies including: Software, IT consulting, fin-tech, fast food and metal industry. Additionally, I took part in the recruiting process of new employees and provided training to junior staff as needed.

Part of the “Deals team” at PwC’s Advisory unit. My key task was to advice on sale or acquisition of companies, as well as to renegotiate new funding for distressed companies.

Senior Project Manager at the corporate credit division of Straumur Investment bank (now Kvika bank). Performed credit risk analysis and managed the credit risk of companies mostly in relation with M&A opportunities. Regularly involved when the bank was weighing up its options on new business or client opportunities.

Provided debt finance services to SME’s with key focus on retail sector. Advised the bank’s clients on the broad spectrum of debt financing – from normal overdrafts and term loans to more complicated leverage structures.
