I'm representing AT&T in the 5GAA Board.Mission Statement of 5GAA:Develop, test and promote communications solutions, initiate their standardization and accelerate their commercial availability and global market penetration to address society’s connected mobility and road safety needs with applications such as autonomous driving, ubiquitous access to services and integration into smart city and intelligent transportation.High level activities to support the mission statement include: * Define and harmonize use cases, business and go-to-market models for automotive and intelligent mobility applications, including rental cars, car sharing and electric vehicles * Elaborate technology selection and roadmap evolution strategy including spectrum allocation requirements * Influence standardization and regulatory bodies, certification and approval processes required for the deployment of future connected mobility solutions * Address vehicle-to-x connectivity and communication challenges, including wireless and cellular access networks, security, privacy, authentication, distributed cloud architectures, technology platforms, protocols and data formats required for reliable communication and access to cloud content * Run joint innovation and development projects leading to interoperability testing, large scale pilots and trial deployments

Leading projects and developing software as Senior Technical Program Manager and Principal Engineer in the AT&T Palo Alto Foundry. Innovating and introducing new products, services, de-risking new technology for AT&T and engaging closely with the Bay Area startup-ecosystem.

Led various international academic and applied industry projects in the role of a team leader with a research focuses on the evolution of core networks, 5th Generation of Mobile Networks (5G), Cloud Edge Computing, Evolved Packet Core (EPC), Software-Defined-Networks (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Policy Control and Flow Based Charging (PCC) and Cross Layer Optimization. Developed project contributions for OpenIMSCore, OpenEPC, OpenSDNCore and Open5GCore projects at Fraunhofer FOKUS and Berlin Institute of Technology.Lectured frequently at the TU Berlin, led the SDN research and developments of FOKUS and AV, coordinated the technical and financial project management activities in the group and authored more than 25 IEEE/ACM publications as well as 4 book chapters and supervised (PhD) students.
