RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES· Responsible for management, design, and integration of small to large broadcast projects.· Maintain and update CAD drawings.· Configure facility and production equipment for all news and studio productions.· Perform and follow procedures regarding transmission distribution of fiber signals, ensuring all content maintains QC during inbound/outbound processing.· Responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and maintenance of all technical equipment including editing systems, graphics systems, switchers, routers, and associated studio equipment to include robotic camera control systems and lighting control systems.· Provides technical expertise in all areas of setup in control room, studio, and remote locations.· Maintain and update equipment documentation and preventative maintenance procedures as required.· Work with engineering supervisor, studio manager, sat desk coordinator, master control, and/or newsgathering manager on scheduling of maintenance windows & maintenance tasks including basic repairs, equipment replacement, cleaning, supplies, etc.· Train operators (as necessary) on the operation of in-house routing systems, transmissions systems, remote feeds, and quality control functions.· Support production in setting up and maintaining broadcast equipment as needed.· Provide direction to contracted vendors and technicians as needed.· Update temperature control systems for users and equipment.· Enter, update, and close out tickets and change requests as required in ServiceNow.· This position requires the ability to understand the facility heating, cooling, and electrical distribution system that affects equipment and users. Experience with the following systems is a plus: AVID, Grass Valley, Sony, Calrec, Riedel, Sennheiser, Lectrosonics, and NewTek.
