The S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation's mission is to provide high quality, inquiry-based science programming to all children regardless of socio-economic status. We strive to instill a life-long interest in STEM and encourage students to consider STEM careers later in life.The majority of funding raised by the foundation provides in-school enrichment science programming to schools whose school district budget cannot afford these hands-on science programs. The foundation also provides funding in the form of scholarships for income-eligible students desiring to enroll in Science Explorers after-school clubs or summer science camps but whose families cannot afford to pay the full cost and also college scholarships for high school seniors planning a science major at an accredited college or university.- Manage day-to-day operations and administration of this 501(c)3 non-profit.- Seek collaboration with like-minded community organizations- Fundraising, board development- Operations management: compliance; comprehensive database management; financial and budgets including preparing organization for annual audit; fund allocation; website- Marketing and PR: press releases for all in-school programs and to acknowledge generosity of corporate donors.
