Senior Manager (Head Of Software Pmo)
Current• Create site’s MRP (Mid Range Plan), annual OPEX, analyze SWOT and engage in improving software deliverables and perfect strategic people management etc.• Define site’s business goals, itemize behaviors. Evaluate project result as key input to employees’ year review. Regular review overall software status and propose mitigation to top management team. • Site-self workshop any improvable item from TTM (time to market), business model, technology, OPEX etc. Sharing valuable output to headquarter for directive. • Lead software PMO succeed ODM and In-house projects, which base on Qualcomm or MediaTek of Android platform. • Set and drive mitigation for cross-site issue among Beijing, ODM vendor, 3rd party, Lund, Tokyo, Taipei, Qualcomm or MediaTek. Secure no project impact and trade off each side. • Manage ODM or 3rd part partners’ project scope, OPEX, SoW, contract, payment approval and work tracking. Provide support or supervise task force to solve vendors’ highlighted issues.• Build up relationship and common sense with ODM vendor or 3rd party.• Align and interact with comprehensive interfaces. e.g. develop team, verification, hardware, mechanism, type approval and main project.• People management for employee and outsource. Maximum promote team work and establish trust.• Host Steering Group (SG) meetings to review each project status (incl. project Toll-gate or Milestone Go/No Go meeting) • Refine project model or process and create and maintain software project notebook• Lead Beijing site to pass ISO9001 Audit year by year• Note, o Communication paths within SonyMobile include Tokyo, Lund, Taipei, Redwood.o ODM vendor include Foxconn, Arima, CEI, HuaQin; 3rd parties include Thundersoft, Ecredence, Neusoft, Tieto, etc.o Platform providers include Qualcomm, MediaTek.o Various meetings include global SG, Local SG, ODM TMM, 3rd party Project review, Line sync etc.o Team size: 50~60 members by Jan 2015; 30~35 members by May 2019.
