Dr. Jun Cai has more than 20 years' industry working experience with leading semiconductor companies, including TI, TSMC, and Fairchild, for precision analog, high voltage/power and PMIC process technology developments in the applications of automotive, communications equipment, enterprise systems, industrial and personal electronics.He has been responsible for the development of state-of-the-art analog power, PMIC technologies with highlights in speed, precision and power to support extensive product selection from power supply controllers, voltage regulators, to pmic devices, LED drivers and display solutions at process nodes from 0.5µm to 65nm with rated voltage from 1.5V to 120V. He has experience for embedded high voltage, analog power and PMIC technologies to explore device concepts and process best suitable options for integration of low/medium voltage and power functionality to modern CMOS technologies at process nodes from 130nm to 40nm, to get competitive advantage through silicon technology scaling.He also worked to develop medium voltage and high voltage analog power (BCDMOS) technologies for automotive commercial, telecom, LED lighting, ballast, motor applications at process nodes from 1.2 µm to 0.35 µm with rated voltage from 60V up to 800V.His experiences include a broad coverage understanding of device design, process integration, and design enablement in smart power and PMIC technologies, especially in application-specific technology platform definition for low cost & high precision as well as the required device design, process integration and development, including LDMOS with highlights in power robustness, density (Rsp), speed and efficiency, as well as high-density digital CMOS, precision analog low voltage/high voltage CMOS, bipolar, NVM and precision-friendly passive components, also with extensive knowledge of these devices characterization, design solution kits and design rules for design enablement and timely PDK delivery.
